Friends of YouthFriends of Youth is a non-profit agency dedicated to supporting youth and their families in King and Snohomish counties. Friends of Youth positively impacts over 6,500 children, youth and their families each year, at 26 sites and programs in 18 cities across the Puget Sound region. In addition to operating the only overnight youth shelters on the Eastside, FOY offers youth development initiatives, in-home family support for young parents and guardians of children up to five years old, parent education, WISe Wraparound services, youth and family counseling, substance abuse counseling, therapeutic foster care, residential treatment and transitional housing for homeless young people and teen mothers. PFLAG (Bellevue & Eastside)This is the local chapter of PFLAG National, our nation’s oldest LGBTQ advocacy organization and a powerful grassroots network of volunteers. PFLAG Eastside serves residents of East King County communities, including Bellevue, Redmond, Kirkland, Issaquah, Mercer Island, Sammamish, Bothell, Woodinville, Duvall, Snoqualmie, and Carnation. PFLAG unites people who are lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer (LGBTQ) with families, friends, and allies and is committed to advancing equality through our three tenants.
